Should there be a government agency to promote affordable and legal file sharing?
Such a concept came up last week when the New Zealand Labour Party announced a radical u-turn on the controversial “three strikes” copyright law, legislation that became enforceable last Thursday.
Now, Labour had originally planned a more hardline law when it was in power a few years back, but its change of heart has won plaudits from many in the ICT community.
