On the heels of the independent success of his latest album “Section 80″, LA rapper Kendrick Lamar has teamed up with Microsoft’s Windows phone and producer Nosaj Thing to release a promo video and direct-to-fan record titled Cloud 10 (pun obviously intended). The record was released using Soundcloud and Sendspace, two of those so-called UMG pirate sites. Go figure.
Another obvious example of the usefulness and innovation of filesharing in the modern economy that must be protected.
